Speaking at a commemoration held in the village in Borsod-Abaúj Zemplén County on Tuesday, January 19, President of Hungary János Áder said that together with the tragic ending, the life of those soldiers who died in an air disaster of a Slovak military plane that crashed 10 years ago near Hejce can be held up as an example to everyone.

After finishing their daily work, the peacekeepers serving Camp Butmir, Sarajevo regularly visit a well-equipped gym and exercise hall in the afternoon and evening hours. Beyond individual opportunities, of course the interested soldiers of the mission can participate in joint workouts as well.

The Most Reverend Archbishop Zbig­ņevs Stan­ke­vičs of the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Riga visited the Latvian National Armed Forces (LNAF) Ādaži base and Chapel; he met with Latvian Chief of Defence (CHOD) Major General Raimonds Graube, LNAF Chief of Chaplains Elmārs Pļaviņš, base units’ commanders and chaplains. During our interview we discussed the life and values, and the chaplains’ role in our armed forces.

We derive the knowledge about wars, politics and any other activities of human beings mainly from male descriptions.
