„PRZEGLĄD OBRONY CYWILNEJ” ("Overview of Civil Defence") is a monthly magazine devoted to crisis management, civil defense, civil protection and rescue.

The magazine exists on the market for over 50 years. It is published in Polish, with a circulation of about 5,000 copies and is distributed mainly by subscription. Its current editor is the Doradztwo Gospodarcze Wojtek Nurzyński company, based in Warsaw.

 

POC reaches the disaster management departments in municipalities, counties and provinces. The recipients are also units of Fire Service, Police and Border Guard and central offices and companies in the sector of crisis management, rescue and military sector. Therefore, the POC is a platform for exchange of experience and reliable source of information for professionals in crisis management in Poland.

19 th  April -  the 12th Mechanised Brigaded welcomed General Hans-Lothar Domröse JFC Commander (the Allied Joint Force Command) in Brunssum.

(In Europe, we have two Operational Commands of this type: one is located in Brunssum, the other in Naples. Currently there are 34 Polish soldiers serving in Brunssum.)

During a visit to the Blue Brigade the JFC Commander was accompanied by Head of Training of the Polish Land Forces General Marek Tomaszycki and Commander of the 12th Mechanized Division General Ireneusz Bartniak.

Information Command Systems, 3D Map and biometric equipment are modern tools of the soldier on a mission.

12th Mechanised Brigade (from Szczecin) prepares intensively for the 12 rotation of the Polish Military Contingent in Afghanistan that will occur in the autumn of this year. Currently, soldiers ended one of the intensive trainings in information equipment operation of command systems called Command Post of the Future (CPOF), which took place in Szczecin.

Kielce. The Training Centre For the Peacekeeping Needs in Kielce-Bukówka hosted the Under-Secretary of State for Defence Policy in the Ministry of National Defence Zbigniew Włosowicz on 14th January. The Minister was acquainted with the tasks performed by the Centre and the Central Civil-Military Cooperation Group.
