EMPA’s Best Article Award statutes
European Military Press Association (EMPA’s) Best Article Award
Approved in EMPA’ Board Meeting on 17 January 2008; amendments confirmed with EMPA’s Board electronically on 24 May 2012.

EMPA’s Annual Best Article Award is established to promote and evaluate the work of European military journalists. It is considered to be an excellent opportunity for military journalists to present their skills as well as results of their work to the European military media community.

EMPA members as well as journalists that are published in EMPA member paper are eligible to apply for the Award.

Articles eligible for EMPA’s Annual Best Article Award nomination shall be those that are published from 1 July previous year till 31 July current year.

Award applicants shall e-mail a copy of the printed article as well as its English translation (Word Document or PDF file) to EMPA’s Secretary General not later than 31 July every year.

EMPA members shall review the nominated articles and vote for their favourite article on EMPA’s webpage www.empamil.eu from 1 August till 1 September.
The article which receives the majority of all members’ votes shall be announced the winning article. The author of the winning article shall be invited to EMPA’s General Meeting for the award ceremony.

EMPA’s Best Article Award comprises of:
- a letter of appreciation,
- a trophy,
- a publication of the article in EMPA News as well as on EMPA’s webpage.
